This cabinet is designed as a Class II Type A2 biological safety cabinet for applications requiring operator protection from potentially harmful biological samples and process protection to minimize sample contamination.
CleanPrep BSC is engineered to provide product, personnel, and environmental protection by combining unidirectional downflow ULPA-filtered air with high-velocity inflow room air to create an active air barrier. The active air barrier at the front of the cabinet separates the laboratory from the work area and maintains a constant inflow speed. In turn, this prevents environmental contaminants from entering the work area and potentially harmful contaminants from escaping.
An automatic controller manages all functions of CleanPrep BSC. This features audible and visible alarms to indicate any performance issues that require the technician’s attention, or could compromise the application’s or personnel’s safety.
The internal chamber of the CleanPrep BSC is 304 stainless steel, and the motorized front sash is dual-thickness with UV light inhibitors for technician safety during chamber irradiation. Each cabinet comes standard with a metal stand and casters, stainless steel water and gas fixtures, and two waterproof electrical outlets.
